Wedding Photographer & Videographer Lake Como

Wedding Photography at Villa del Balbianello, Villa Serbelloni & Beyond

Lake Como is one of the most breathtaking places for a wedding in Italy. Between mountains, historic villas, and deep blue water, special moments unfold that don't need to be staged – they simply happen.

As a wedding photographer and videographer, I accompany couples from all over the world who choose Lake Como for their wedding abroad. It's not about classic poses or staged scenes – it's about real memories that show your day exactly as it truly was, calm, unobtrusive, and focused on what actually happens.

Wedding on Lake Como – One of Italy's Most Beautiful Destinations

Lake Como offers an extraordinary backdrop for weddings: historic villas right on the water, small villages on the hillsides, and light that keeps shifting throughout the day. One of the most iconic venues on the lake is the Villa del Balbianello, a Renaissance villa on its own peninsula – you can read my full guide to weddings there, including cost estimates and how the day typically unfolds. Many couples want photos that don't look staged – instead, images emerge from movement, genuine interaction, and situations where you feel comfortable.

Lake Como's surroundings are ideal for this: a short walk along the water, quiet moments together, or simply the events unfolding around your celebration. You don't have to perform your day – you can simply live it. If you're also considering a wedding on the water further east, take a look at my guide to a wedding in Venice, with its canals and centuries-old palazzi.

Planning a Destination Wedding on Lake Como

Many of my weddings on Lake Como are so-called destination weddings – you deliberately move your wedding to a location abroad, and your guests join you there. As your destination wedding photographer, I support you with experience from many weddings in Italy and a clear process that works well even across greater distances.

Communication throughout the planning process – from your first inquiry to timeline planning and venue walk-throughs – is always in English, so distance is never a barrier to feeling prepared.
